Buldogis
I've said it before and I'll say it again; I am a total hot dog slut. I have no shame or qualms about it. I'll take a good hot dog anytime, any day. I think that’s why Buldogis just gets me. When you take Korean Food and introduce it to the all American hot dog, they get married, have kids and open a shop in Summerlin, you get Buldogis.
Bulgogi is actually a Korean dish with grilled spicy marinated beef. The grill and spices are what was taken away from this place and brought to the hot dog. It's the perfect combo. It's one of the few times I actually feel comfortable using the term "gourmet" when referring to a hot dog. They bring things like Teriyaki Beef, Kimchi, Siracha, Pork Belly, you name it, and they will probably put it on your hot dog and make that shit delicious.
They’re known for their Banh Mi dog, Bulgogi or the Angry Dogs however, my favorite is the Teriyaki. Hands down. Nothing comes close. It's like when you go to your favorite restaurant and know before you get there you're ordering your favorite dish. You’re never changing it. It's perfection. You know there’s other good stuff on the menu but there will always be YOUR dish. That's the way I feel about this hot dog. I've had the other hot dogs on the menu, many come close, but nothing compares.
The Teriyaki Dog. It’s comprised of Teriyaki Beef, Roasted Peppers, Sesame Seeds and Teriyaki Mayo. I can't even get through that without holding a towel to me lips. The hot dog, in essence almost become obsolete because the toppings are so rich and flavorful. But the hot dog adds that extra layer of savory flavor. It’s that Umami that you wan to dance but you don't dance because you have a Delicious hot dog in front of you to finish. That’s when you know you have the real deal, when your food takes president over everything.
I've said it so many times and trust me I know "it's just a hot dog" but one thing for you to remember is "I'm not a foodie. And while we're at it, it's not just a hot dog. It's one of those pretty French girls you see painted...except its not French...it's Korean American.....Murica'. *Drops the fork and walks out* Rock music ensues*
